Lifetime Friendship
Poem by Susan McAvoy, May 2006
You can hear the wind blowing the trees
and the leaves rustling about,
The birds are on the move building their nests
for the chicks soon to hatch out.
The tulips and daffodils are breaking through the ground
making for yet another beautiful spring season,
The sun higher each day
is warming the air more and more.
Two rocking chairs on the porch rocking gently by the wind
Waiting for you and me,
Know that when you are by yourself, you are not alone
have a seat, enjoy and know that I am beside you.
How amazingly true is the e-mail
A Reason, a Season or a Lifetime,
The reason we have become so close
and that our friendship is for a lifetime.
