The Daily Me

My Mother
I was a child
not long past
When I would dream
upon your lap.

I would follow rainbows
and dance with sea fairies
kept safe in the arms
of my mother so caring.

The winds of childhood
have then since blown
and set my course
until I was grown

You steered my straight
through troubled waters
your love so endless
it had no borders.

for all you have done
for all you have shown
your love is the greatest
I've ever known!

Author: Betty O'Kay who says A tribute to Val (my mother- July 27, 1918 - January 6, 1990) It was written for Mother's Day.
