OBITUARIES

ADAM NICHOLAS KASPRZAK
PALMYRA - Adam Nicholas Kasprzak, 75, died unexpectedly July 9, 2009 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born January 29, 1934 in Boston, MA, a son of Bronislaw and Julia (Dowhanczuk) Kasprzak. Adam served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a long time employee of the Western Electric Company in Watertown, MA.

He moved to Maine in 1976, was employed as a machinist at Fay Scott in Dexter, and retired working for the State of Maine. Adam was a communicant of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Pittsfield and devoted his life to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret (Kenney) Kasprzak of Palmyra; 8 children, Margie Kasprzak of Palmyra, Julie and husband Brian McCann of NH, E. Adam and wife Suz of Newport, Laure` and husband David Moody of Pittsfield, Michael and wife Cynthia of Bangor, Thomas and wife Gaye of Newport, James and wife Tracy of Dover-Foxcroft, and Paul and wife Karen of Palmyra; 40 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and their wives, Richard and Mary Ann, Robert and Patricia, and Steven and Carol; a sister, Mary Ann Murphy; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, July 12th at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated 10 A.M. Monday, July 13th, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Pittsfield with the Rev. Fr. Calvin Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the Palmyra Village Cemetery.
