Aileen L. Mendes She graduated from Greenville High School class of 1965, and continued her education at beautician school in Augusta. She worked as a processor for Fed Ex, while living in Alaska, and in 2005 she retired and moved back to Greenville. Aileen loved to travel and visited many national parks, and enjoyed walking and hiking. She was an avid photographer, and loved to cook. Aileen had a great sense of humor, and wanted it said, "I was here and now I'm gone". She is survived by her loving husband, Mannie Mendes of Greenville; 3 children, Rebecca Lamson of Lincoln, NH, Jason Lamson and his wife, Rose of Anchorage, AK, and Mannie Mendes II of Greenville; 2 brothers, Allen Later and his wife, Nancy of Bingham, and Charles Later and his wife, Sharon of Shirley; 3 sisters, Jacqueline Lizotte and her husband, Mike of Greenville, Penelope Moody and her husband, Richard of Wasilla, AK, and Jennifer O'Brien and her husband, Robert of Milo; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Greenville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Katahdin Cruises and Moosehead Marine Museum, P.O.
