PITTSFIELD Albert M. Richardson, Sr., 92, died November 30, 2003 at a Pittsfield Hospital. He was born January 1, 1911 at Newport a son of Frank and Thurza (Day) Richardson. He attended North Newport schools and Newport High School, and served in the U. S. Army Reserve until 1946. He worked for most of his life at Eastland Woolen Mill, and later, at Guilford Industries, until his retirement. He was a member and past deacon of Deeper Life Assembly in Pittsfield, and was a member of Pittsfield Senior Citizens. On December 24, 1938, he married the former Adeline Vance. On January 19, 2002, she predeceased him. Albert was also predeceased by 5 children.

He is survived by 4 sons, Albert, Jr. of Farmington, Indiana, Ernest of Detroit, Philip of Pittsfield, and Amos of St. Albans; 4 daughters, Clyda Taylor of Dover-Foxcroft, Phyllis Smith of Quinlan, Texas, Roberta Owens of Haddam, Connecticut, and Mary Lou White of Haggaum, CT; 36 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 3rd, with the Reverend Llewellen Sperrey, interim minister of Deeper Life Assembly of Pittsfield, officiating. Burial will be in the North Newport Cemetery.
