Anna V. Bailey
CORINNA—Anna V. Bailey, 82, died January 20, 2012 at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 19, 1929 in Haverhill, New Hampshire, a daughter of Charles and Gladys (Carr) Downing. On May 27, 1950, she married Arthur Bailey.

She had been employed by Amos Abbott and Company, Snowflake Canning Company, Eastland Woolen Mill and Guilford Industries. She enjoyed playing card games and cooking for her family.

Anna is survived by 3 sons, Arthur Bailey, Jr. of Etna, Charlie and wife Janet Bailey of Dexter, and Kevin and wife Lynn Bailey of Corinna; a daughter, Ann Marie (Bailey) Gustin of Hartland; a brother, Ivon Downing of New Hampshire; 2 sisters and their husbands, Jessie and Harold Graves of California and Myrtle and Bruce Cole of New York; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a step granddaughter, Brooke Snide; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Winnifred (Farnham) Bailey of Dexter. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Bailey, Sr. in 2003; a son, David; and a sister Joyce Arnold.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, January 24th, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter, where funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday with the Rev. Leonard Reiss officiating. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, John F. Kennedy, Chapter #6, P. O. Box 156, Orrington, ME 04474.
