Arlene M. Jardine
Arlene grew up in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School. Arlene and Jim met in high school, were married in 1953, and have shared a beautiful life together ever since. They owned and ran the Log Cabin Restaurant for 13 years. She worked as a nurse’s aide for several years at C.A. Dean Hospital, attended cosmetology school, and then worked as a beautician until her retirement, all while raising their 5 children in a loving home.
Arlene loved fishing and spending summers at their camp on Lake Hebron. She enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time with family and friends. She was a caring and faithful person who was always visiting others, sharing her homemade soup or muffins and spreading the good news of the Lord with all she met. She was a wonderful wife, mother, “Nanny” and friend to so many.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jim Jardine of Greenville; 2 sons, Gerry Jardine of Greenville, Lenny Jardine and his wife, Brenda of Greenland, NH; 3 daughters, Sue Leland and her husband, Dave of Sangerville, Jan Martin and her husband, Buddy of Monson, and Jill Rich and her husband, Kyle of Windham; 6 grandchildren, Kourtney Ray and her husband, David and children, Davy and Katelyn; Russell Martin and Lisa Anderson and children, Aiden, Ben and Allie; Josh and Sarah Rich; and Patrick and Mary Jardine.
