Barbara Ann (Berg) Vincent
Barbara Vincent, known to many as “Blaze”, was a multi-faceted artist and beloved teacher of the arts for children and adults for many years. She was the recipient of the Sophia award from the School of Spiritual Psychology for her endless contributions to the spiritual fabric of culture. She was also a 5 element Chinese medicine practitioner.
She was well known for her “Depot Street Development”, a coffee house, restaurant and arts center. The Depot has buzzed for years with classes and performances for children and adults in music, theater, dance and art, inspiring all who crossed her path.
Her talents were endless.
She adored her husband, her family, her amazing friends and her beloved Moosehead Lake, more than words can tell. Barbara was filled with an incredible wisdom and had a deep connection to the spiritual world. She always danced to her own drum and sang her own song and filled a room with the brightest of lights.
Barbara was predeceased by her Husband, Frederick Dale Vincent Jr., Sister, Joan Roache, and Nephew, Michael Morris.
She is survived by her Brother, Robert Berg and Sister, Polly Wilcox. She was the beloved mother of Margaret Vincent, Abel Grace, Jennifer Vincent Sieger, Hannah Vincent Gorman, Frederick Vincent, and Alexander Vincent. Barbara was Mother-in-Law to William Carroll, Lauren Grace, John Sieger, Michael Gorman and Jennifer Vincent and beloved Grandmother of 10 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren, and many loving Nieces and Nephews.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be scheduled in July.
