OBITUARIES

Basil L. Peasley
PARKMAN, Basil L. Peasley, 78, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at his home in Parkman after a long illness. He was born May 1, 1935 in St. Albans, a son of Harry and Myrtle Peasley.

He was a graduate of Hartland Academy and was employed for many years at Dexter Shoe Co. until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed watching Nascar and golf in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Arlene Peasley of Parkman; his son, Chad Peasley and his wife Micki of Palmyra; a step daughter, Joni and her husband Paul Fernald of Detroit; one grandson, Travis Fernald of Palmyra; 3 brothers, Charles Peasley and his wife Pat of Three Rivers, Michigan; Dean Peasley and his wife Grace of Ripley; Linwood Peasley and his wife Donna of Dexter; and one sister, Phyllis and her husband Everett Graham of St. Albans.
