veteran CAMBRIDGE, Bernard A. Ricker, 81, died February 16, 2007, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born November 17, 1925, in Harmony, son of Lionel and Helen (Pike) Ricker. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After returning from the service he worked for Dexter Shoe until his retirement. He had a strong faith and was an active member of the Cambridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Edith (Tayor) Ricker of Cambridge; two daughters, Lorna and her husband, Larry Jones of MA, and Bonnie Long of Roanoke, VA; a son, Joel Ricker and his close friend Karen of Richmond, VT; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Long of Silver Spring, MD, and Adam Long of Roanoke, VA.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Monday, February 19, 2007, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford, with the Rev. Bill Innman. Friends may call from 2 PM until the time of the service. Spring burial will be in the Cambridge Memorial Garden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Cambridge Baptist Church.
