BERNICE (LOUGEE) BRADFORD
BREWER & DOVER-FOXCROFT – Bernice (Lougee) Bradford, 93, died April 12, 2004 at a Bangor health care facility. She was born January 22, 1911 at Dover-Foxcroft a daughter of Morrill and Edna (Lunt) Lougee. She was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy, Class of 1929. Bernice was an avid gardener, and loved flowers, art and literature. She was a dear friend of the renowned photographer from Maine and New York City, Berenice Abbott. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Owen Bradford, Sr., a veteran of World War II.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Bradford, Jr. of Bucksport; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 7-9 P.M. Thursday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday, with the Rev. George Darling officiating. Burial will be in the family lot, Highland Cemetery, Carmel.
