SANGERVILLE and BROWNVILLE Cecil P. Theriault, 60, loving husband of Alta Chambers Theriault for more than 20 years, died April 24, 2002, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Dec. 15, 1941, in Milo, the son of Louis Theriault and Gloria Roberts. He worked in the wood business all his life and was a longtime resident of Brownville and Katahdin Iron Works. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alta; his mother, Gloria Roberts of Brownville; four sons, Wade Theriault and his fiance, Heidi Dodge of Dexter, George Theriault and his fiance, Laurie Reed of Gouldsboro, Brad Theriault of Dexter, and Richard and Vicki Hamilton of Pennsylvania; three daughters, Mary and Pete Watters of Brownville, Laurie Worster and her fiance, Bill Hobbs of Brownville Junction and Debbie Hamilton and her fiance, Steve Robinson of Atkinson; nine grandchildren, Regina and Adin Young, Richard Jr. and John Joseph Hamilton, Dillon P. Watters, Ashley Hamilton, Crystal and Greg Hathorn, and Kelsey Robinson; three brothers, George Theriault of Connecticut, James Theriault of Williamsburg, and John Henry Theriault of Brownville; one sister, Henrietta Landry of Brownville; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends. He was predeceased by one son, John Hamilton; and one sister, Claudette Theriault.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002, at the family lot in Pine Tree Cemetery, with the Rev. Ken Dale Officiating. A time of remembrance will follow at the home of Pete and Mary Watters, 34 Pleasant St., Brownville. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Pine State Cremation Services, 1-800-769-6371.
