DEXTER – Charlene B. Dube, 79, died September 11, 2003 at a Bangor hospital following a brief illness. She was born July 21, 1924 at Harmony a daughter of Merton and Inez ( Flagg) Braley. She was employed by Dexter Shoe Company for 27 years. She was a communicant of St. Annes Catholic Church in Dexter and was very active in assisting with the duties involved in the daily operations at the church. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Charlene enjoyed reading, crocheting, and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered as the center of the family.

In addition to Lucien, her husband of 62 years, she is survived by a son Ted and wife Judy Dube of Dexter; 2 daughters, Barbara and husband Galen McKenney of Corinna, Betty and husband Jim Laferriere of Dexter; a sister Christine Pelkie of Hartland; a step-sister, Judy Ricker of Wellington; grandchildren, Kathy and husband Mike Mossey, Rick and wife Leslie McKenney, Annette and husband Randy Dellaire, Rob and wife Patty Laferriere, David and wife Tanya Dube, Paul and wife Amy Dube; great grandchildren, Ashley and Justin Dellaire, Justin Mossey, Brad and Eliza McKenney; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Andrea Sargent. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

Friends may call from 2 – 5 P.M. Sunday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Monday, September 15th, with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Morency officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anne’s Church, c/o Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Dexter, ME 04930.
