PITTSFIELD Daniel Carl Watson, 85, died November 12, 2006 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born April 28, 1921 at Cambridge the oldest son of Roy and Georgia (Thurston) Watson. He graduated from Harmony High School, Class of 1939, and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. Dan was a mechanic and welder by trade, retiring from the Cianbro Corporation.

He was a 40 year member of the Cambridge Lodge # 157, A.F. & A.M.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Juanita (Gross) Watson of Pittsfield; 3 daughters, Barbara Ladd of Poland, Deborah LaCroix and husband Jeff of Skowhegan, Danita Humphrey and husband Jerry of Newport; 2 brothers, Richard Watson of Harmony and Bernard Watson of Cambridge; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Hugh and Kenneth; and a grandson Bertrand LaCroix.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, November 16th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Cambridge.
