WALLINGFORD, CT & SANGERVILLE, ME - Derry H. “Ted” Monroe, died August 30, 2003 at Wallingford, CT, after a long bout with cancer. He was born April 1, 1934, in Garland, Maine son of Carl and Mattie (King) Monroe. He attended school in Sangerville and served in the US Air Force from May 1951 to Nov. 1953. Ted lived in Wallingford since his discharge from the Air Force.

He is survived by a sister, Ruth M. Schultz of Guilford, Maine; a brother Nolan C. Monroe of Greensboro, North Carolina. He was predeceased by one sister, Rena Kozak and three brothers, Lyle, Max and his twin Larry.

There will be no public funeral service. Friends may call Friday September 5th, from 4 to 7 PM, at 210 South Main Street in Wallingford, CT. Graveside services will be held Saturday September 6th, at 3 PM at the Sangerville Village Cemetery. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.
