DONALD S. BROWN
HARTLAND – Donnie Brown, 64, died July 31, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 4, 1946 at Ft. Fairfield a son of Oscar and Madeline (Grass) Brown. He was employed at Hartland Tannery, San Antonio Shoe, Johnson and Hibbard Garage in Hartland and also detailed cars for Central Maine Motors in Waterville.

After retiring, he also detailed cars in his garage. He was a member of the Hartland Fire Department for many years and also served as an ambulance driver for the Hartland-St. Albans Ambulance Service. He enjoyed collecting model cars and baseball caps.

Don was predeceased by his father Oscar, his step-mother Isabelle, his mother Madeline and step-father Harold Higgins; a brother Robert Brown and a sister in law, Margaret Brown.

He is survived by his wife Romona “Mona” of Hartland; 2 sons, Troy Chipman and fiancée Shannon of Hartland, Todd and wife Jennifer Brown of St. Albans; 2 brothers, Dale and wife Dianne Brown of Hartland, Ralph and wife Bonnie Brown of Palmyra; 3 sisters, Betty Foolbear of Fayette, North Carolina, Paula Hughes and husband Earl, and Ella Buker and husband Hadley, all of Hartland; grandchildren Brittany, Austin, Alex, Autumn, Mercedes, Faith, Lily, and Ryan; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside committal services will be held 11 A.M. Friday, August 5th, at the family lot, Pine Grove Cemetery, Cool Extension, Hartland, with the Rev. Jim Boughman officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
