DOROTHY G. EDES
DEXTER - Dorothy G. Edes, 79, died March 28, 2003, at a Dexter healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 9, 1924, in Villa Rica, Ga., daughter of William H. and Winnie (Sewall) Giles. She was an active member of the Universalist Church in Guilford and Dexter, the Universalist Unorganized Ladies, and the Dexter Municipal Women's Golf Association. In previous years she was a member of the Zephyrus Club in Guilford and the Plummer Hospital Association in Dexter.

She is survived by her husband, James K. Edes of Dexter; two sons, Joseph Edes of Dexter and Daniel Edes of Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter, Rev. Mary Giles Edes of Deerfield, N.H.; three grandchildren, Kelsey and Eliza Camire and Christopher Edes; a brother, Frank Giles of Unadilla, Ga. She was predeceased by two sons, Michael (infant) and William Edes; and a brother, Bill S. Giles.

A memorial service will be held 10 AM, May 18, 2003, at the First Universalist Church in Dexter. Private graveside services will be held at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford.
