OBITUARIES

FRANK EDWARD WALKER
MILO - Frank Edward Walker, 74, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at a Bangor hospital, with his beloved wife, Barbara and family at his side. Frank was born in Greenville, April 16, 1928. Frank married Barbara Scribner Walker on June 21, 1945. Frank was employed by the Canadian Pacific Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1986 as a conductor. Frank was a member of the Park Street United Methodist Church, where he attended regularly and had served as a member of the Board of Trustees and Head Usher. He was a member of Piscataquis Lodge No. 44 AF & AM and a member of the Mayo Regional Hospital Auxiliary, where he volunteered each week for 12 years.

Frank was predeceased by a brother, Albert; a son, Hibbard Edward; and his mother, Lillian Worster Murphy. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara; his sons, Michael and his wife, Georgia of Durham, David and his wife, Debra of Milo, and Randy and his wife, Linda of Milo. Frank loved and enjoyed his very special grandchildren, Lance and his wife, Heidi of North Yarmouth, Heather Cox and her husband, Tony of Topsham, Amanda Walker, Andrew Walker and Jodi Walker of Milo. Frank was blessed with the recent birth of a great-granddaughter, Anna Walker Cox. A brother, Philip Walker of Greenville; and sisters, Bitha Hyland of Dexter, Francis Roy of Greenville, Beverly Macomber of Greenville and Sally Bell of Camden, also survive him. Nieces, nephews, neighbors friends, and a very special friend that Frank thought of as a daughter, Beth Zimmerman, will fondly remember him.

A celebration of Frank's life will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002, at the Park Street United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Michelle St. Cyr officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Park Street United Methodist Church Trustees, care of Harold Hanson, Treasurer, Elm Street, Milo, ME 04463.
