FREDERICK GEORGE MARSHALL
HUDSON and ETNA- Frederick "Freddy" George Marshall, 84, died October 25, 2009 at a Waterville nursing home. He was born May 7, 1925, son of Andrew and Mazie (Brown) Marshall. Freddy and his family lived for many years in Hudson, where he raised chickens and also worked for the State Highway Department, where he was known as "Shorty". Following retirement he moved to Etna and enjoyed woodworking and helping his family.

Freddy is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Gerald and Barbara of Corinna, Larry and Faye of GA, and Stephen of Bangor; a daughter, Althea Wypyszczak of IN; 10 grandchildren, Cheryl Shorey of Eddington, Shelley and Anthony Rudnicki of Fairfield, Gerald "Skip" Marshall of NH, Alisha and Dr. Rick Ames of TX, Tiffany Young and her partner, Rob Poindexter of St. Albans, Larry "Rocky" and Christina Marshall of Surry, Sgt. Scott and Cali Marshall of NY, Kim Lounder of GA, Melissa Dupray of Millinocket; a brother, Ralph of Charleston; sisters, Pat Brunnele of NY, Jennie Chapman of Bangor, Edna Taylor of FL, Mildred Brooks of Dover-Foxcroft; 19 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Althea (Adams) Marshall in 1990; brothers, Andrew, and Roy; and sisters, Leona, Mabel, and Doris.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. Burial will be in the Hudson Cemetery.
