GALEN "JUG" BANE
BURNHAM – Galen L. Bane, 60, died April 3, 2009 at a Bangor hospital following a long illness. He was born August 8, 1948 in Hartland, a son of Linwood and Winifred (Ham) Bane. He was a longtime self employed logger and also drove truck for Maine Fence Company for nearly 30 years. He will be remembered as an outdoors man, enjoying hunting and fishing.

In addition to his mother of Burnham, he is survived by 3 sons, Ellery and Tammy of Burnham, Clint of Pittsfield, Robert and Holly, also of Pittsfield; 2 brothers, Rodney and Eloise of Pittsfield, Brian and Sharon of Canaan; 1 sister, Joyce and Burley Holt of Burnham; 3 grandchildren, Ryanne Bane, Bianca and Amanda Asaro. He was predeceased by his wife Colleen, and a son Ryan.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, April 8th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with Pastor Albert Thibault officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of services. Burial will be in the Sidelinger Family Cemetery, Burnham. Graveside committal services for Galen L. Bane, who died April 3, 2009, will be held 10 AM Friday, May 29th, at Sidelinger Cemetery Family Cemetery, Burnham, with the Rev. Albert Thibault officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. An obituary is available at www.CrosbyNeal.com
