HELEN E. DAVIS
PALMYRA—Helen E. Davis, 99, died March 28, 2003 at a Pittsfield health care facility. She was born December 29, 1903 at Augusta, the daughter of Charles and Lettie (Moody) Davis. She graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1921, and Colby College, Class of 1926. Helen was a life member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and had worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Friend & Friend Auto Sales.

She was the last survivor of 6 children. She is survived by 4 nieces, Joyce Davis of Palmyra, Natalie Booth of Pittsfield, Marion Wright of Ft. Myers, FL and Marilyn Sinclair of Belfast; a nephew, Donald Davis of Palmyra; and several grand nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time.

A graveside funeral service will be held later in the spring at the family lot, Riverside Cemetery, Newport. Memorial donations may be made to the Newport Public Library, 23 Water Street, Newport, ME 04953.
