Herbert Hyland, Sr. GREENVILLE, Herbert K. Hyland, Sr., 96, died July 19, 2007, at C.A. Dean Nursing Home in Greenville. He was born October 15, 1910, in Coventry, VT, son of Charles and Lena (Gorham) Hyland. He worked in the local area for many of the local businesses, until his retirement at the age of 84. He loved the outdoors, gardening, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Maryanne (Annance) Hyland of Greenville; 3 daughters, Ruth McNeal of Greenville, Kay and her husband, Charles Brown of Abbot, Francine and her husband, Scott Roy of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Hyland of Greenville Jct.; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Janet Hyland of CT, Bernadette Annance of Greenville, and Bytha Hyland of Greenville; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Herbert Jr.; a daughter, Lena Barriault; a sister, Florence Elliott; 3 brothers, George, Bernard, and Cecil; 2 grandchildren; and a special son-in-law, Charlie McNeal.

A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Greenville Chapel of Crosby & Neal, at the Masonic building in Greenville, with the Rev. Fr. Richard Malo officiating.
