He had a full woodworking shop where he turned out many beautiful pieces of furniture, as well as small gifts for his daughters and grandchildren. In the winter, he loved snowmobiling and trail grooming for the snowmobile club.

Jim is survived by his wife Sandra; two daughters, Marcy King and husband Trampas, Robin Pyrzyk and husband Walt; as well as the lights of his life, his five grandchildren, Nicholas Clukey and wife Rachel, Samuel and Shelby Pyrzyk, Regan and Annika King.
