JOHN JAMES WILSON
PALMYRA – John James Wilson, 79, died unexpectedly July 3, 2003 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born February 21, 1924 at Newark, New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Cowpens. After the war he became a licensed electrician working with an electrical contracting company in Morristown, New Jersey. After retiring he moved to Maine, living for a time in Owls Head and Union, before settling in Palmyra. He also enjoyed going to Florida during the winter months.
He is survived by his loving companion of 15 years, Dorothy L. Dye, also of Palmyra.
Burial will be in
Palmyra Village Cemetery. Private arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport.
