Joseph Clayton Sweet He was in all of the school plays during his time there and was always anxious to play as many parts as he could. He currently was employed at McDonald’s Restaurant in Newport. He also won a number of gold medals in the Special Olympics. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Vivian Perkins of Corinth, paternal grandmother, Dorothy Gould of Dexter, paternal grandfather, Ron Sweet, Sr. of Newport, maternal grandmother, Lillie Ambrose of Sangerville, paternal great grandmother Jessie Brann Herring of Dexter; a brother, Bryce Sweet of Exeter; 2 sisters, Sara Sweet of Skowhegan and Kalea Sweet of Exeter; a special niece, Keira Sweet-Brown of Exeter; and many special aunts, uncles and cousins. Joey will be remembered for being a kind, loving young man. He loved all of his family and friends, especially Ben and his wife Ashley Pomelow of Corinth. Joey was predeceased by his grandfather, Clayton Joseph Ambrose. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Dexter, with the Rev. David Lassell officiating.
