JOYCE EVELYN (GRINDLE) GILLESPIE
Joyce Evelyn (Grindle) Gillespie, 65, died March 14, 2009, with her family by her side at a Bangor hospital, after fighting a brief but courageous battle with leukemia. She was born Jan. 5, 1944, in Brockton, Mass., the daughter of Bruce and G. Olive (Poore) Grindle. She married the love of her love, Bob Gillespie, July 21, 1963, in Weymouth, Mass.

She is survived by her five children, Chip, Beth, Tim, Lisa and Stacey. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by her three siblings, Carol, Diane and Bruce. Her father, Bruce, age 95, is still living in Hingham, Mass. She was predeceased by her mother in 1999. Joyce lived up to her name and brought much joy to everyone around her. Her family especially thanks the nurses and doctors of Eastern Maine Medical Center Grant 6 for their wonderful care of her.
