WINDHAM -- Judith A. Ferris, 53, of Varney Mill Road, died peacefully at her home Feb. 18, 2007, after a brief illness. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Lewis H. and Lena M. Breau Gravelle. She was a 1971 graduate of Greenville High School and a 1973 graduate of Plus Gray School of Business in Portland. Mrs. Ferris had been employed by Northwest Insurance, Bradish-Young Insurance, Profenno's, Sentry Enterprises, Evodia House and most recently for Regional Transportation. She loved to cook and possessed a tremendous sense of humor. She was an avid Red Soxs fan. Judith love her dogs, Rosie, Wynonna and Sadie. Her trips to Disney World and her love of dolphins were very important to her. She cherished the time spent with Paige, Adrienne and Lindsay especially the sleepovers and cooking.

Surviving her are her husband, Steven K. Ferris of Windham; six brothers, Lewis, Clevis, Greg, Peter, Tim and Tom; four sisters, Jean, Lisa, Terri and Elizabeth; many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Cheryl.

An hour of visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. A celebration of her life will follow at 2 p.m. The Rev. Janet Weidler will officiate.
