CORINNA - Larry Cookson, 67, died December 5, 2009 in St. Albans. He was born March 29, 1942 in Bangor, a son of Walter and Eleanor (Hurd) Cookson. He retired from Dexter Shoe Company in 1999. Larry enjoyed fishing, dancing, watching the Red Sox and anything "Elvis".

He is survived by his wife, Enola (Payne) Cookson of Corinna; a son William of Lewiston; 2 daughters, Kristie Walker of Portland, and Robin Duke of Florida; a step son, Mark Pomeroy of West Virginia; a step daughter Hallie Pomeroy of New Hampshire; a brother Stephen of Dexter; 7 grandchildren; a niece Randi; his nephew and fishing buddy, Spencer; and best friend, Bob Weymouth.

Friends may call from 2 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM Friday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter. Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
