OBITUARIES

LAURIE ANN SIMPSON
NEWPORT - Laurie Ann Simpson, 42, went home to be with her Lord, Friday, March 15, 2002. She was born Jan. 23, 1960, the daughter of Gerald and Margery (Dow) Robinson of Hartland. She attended Nokomis Regional High School and received her diploma in 1978. Laurie worked most of her adult life for Scott Paper/Sappi Industries in Hinckley. She was an avid gardener and craftsperson and took great pleasure in sharing her hobbies with her family and friends. She was also a devoted grandmother.

Laurie is survived by her parents and her children, Timothy Clark and his wife, Tonya of Waterville, Daimon Clark of Palmyra, Tara Broz and her husband, Jesse of Fairfield, Travis Simpson of Fairfield and Scott Simpson and his wife, Sherry of Standish. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Ethan Clark, Evan Clark and Samantha Broz; as well as a brother, Alan Robinson and his wife, Richyl of Hartland; and a sister, Colleen Theriault and her husband, Stanley of Palmyra, many nieces and nephews. Laurie was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Robinson.

There will be a memorial service for Laurie 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Newport American Legion Hall, North Street, Newport. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Sebasticook Garden Club, care of Donna Friend, 69 High St., Newport. There will be a graveside burial service in the spring at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Hartland. Arrangements are being handled by Pine State Cremation Services of Richmond.
