OBITUARIES

LEE CLARENCE TURNER
SHIRLEY- Lee Clarence Turner, 88, died March 29, 2010, at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville. He was born in St. Albans, October 30, 1921, son of Forest and Nina (Boyington) Turner.

Lee served in the US Army during WWII in the European Theater. After the war he worked the Maine State Forest Service for many years, and enjoyed outdoor sports such as hunting, trapping and fishing. He was a member of the Shirley Community Church for all of his life. Lee was the first open heart bypass patient at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Perry) Turner of Shirley; 4 children; David Turner, Albert Turner, and Danny Turner all of Shirley, and Gail Downie of Sangerville; a sister, Eunice Greenlaw of Jackson; 4 grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Alissa, amd Joey, and 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews

There are no public services planned at this time. Burial will be in the Shirley Cemetery later this spring.
