CORINTH - Lena D. Brooks, 101, wife of the late Frank T. Brooks, died Sept. 13, 2002, at a Dexter nursing home. She was born Nov. 3, 1900, in Medford, the daughter of Bradbury and Edith (Thomas) DeWitt. She had been a resident of Corinth most of her life and had been a former grocery store clerk. As Corinth's eldest citizen, she was the holder of the Boston Post Cane. She was a lifetime member and Past Noble Grand of the Rebekah's and was a member of the Hudson Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Shirley Brooks of Corinth; two grandchildren, Francis Whitney and Stewart Brooks; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Lena was predeceased by a granddaughter, Rosalie Freeman.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Rd., Corinth, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002. Burial will be in Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth.
