GUILFORD- Loretta D. Davis, 78, died December 6, 2009, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. she was born June 7, 1931, in Cleveland, OH, daughter of John and Gertrude (Bartl) Urgeleite. Loretta was raised in the Cleveland area and met her husband, Gordon, while working at the Cadillac plant, following Gordon's discharge from the Marine Corp, after WWII. After their marriage in 1953 they returned to Gordon's hometown, Parkman, Maine. They then moved to Guilford and started the furniture business, along with Gordon's brother and his wife, Harold and Beverly Davis. They continued to operate the business until 1995, when they sold the business to their son, Tony. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, and a grandson, Michael.

She is survived by 2 sons, Tony and his wife Patricia Davis, and Scott Davis, all of Guilford; a daughter, Kathleen Davis of Hawaii; a brother, Larry Wiesner of FL; a sister-in-law, Beverly Davis of Parkman; twin granddaughters, Courtney Davis and Christine Davis, both of Guilford.

Friends may call Friday, December 11, 2009, from 6 to 8 PM at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St. in Guilford. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, December 12th, at the Guilford United Methodist Church. Spring burial will be in the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford. For an online guest register, go to
