HARTLAND Lysle Alton Gould, 58, died July 28, 2002 at home after a brief battle with cancer. He was born April 1, 1944 at Pittsfield, a son of Arnold and Phyllis (Cole) Gould. Lysle was self-employed as a logger, and later owned and operated L.A. Gould & Son Construction Company. He was a member of the Corinthian Masonic Lodge #95, past member of Evening Star Chapter #189 Order of The Eastern Star, and the Hartland-St. Albans Lions Club.Lysle was a very helpful and giving friend. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. He especially enjoyed fishing and camping with his families at Kokadjo and Rockwood. In addition to his parents, Lysle was predeceased by two brothers, Douglas Gould, Duane and wife Lori Gould, and their infant son, Justin R. Gould, three sisters Betty Ann Walker, Norma Fields and Myrna Lyons.

He is survived by his wife, Norma (Killam) Gould; two sons, Maurice and wife Lisa Gould, and Justin Gould, all of Hartland; two daughters, Cheryll and husband Kevin Osborne of Newport, and Kristin Gould of Hartland; a brother Keith Gould of Hartland; a sister Linda Richards of Hartland; grandchildren Nicholas, Brandon, Jennifer, Dustin and Isaac; as well as two special friends, Arland Stedman and Arvid Laskey.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport. A Masonic service will be conducted at 7 P.M. at the funeral home during visitation. Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday, July 31st, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the family lot, Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland.
