MARGARET A. REID
HARTLAND—Margaret A. Reid, 67, died May 24, 2011 at her residence. She was born June 12, 1943 in Lowell, MA, a daughter of Walter and Helena (Matthews) Reid.

Margaret was a communicant of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Pittsfield. She had been employed at the Edward’s company in Pittsfield. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She loved the Moosehead Lake Region, camping, boating, jigsaw puzzles, and chocolate chip ice cream. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and was happiest socializing in the midst of a buzz of activity.

She is survived by her ex-husband, Kenneth Reid of Vassalboro; her son John Reid and his partner Delinda Coombs of Lawrence, MA; 3 daughters, Denise Reid and Gail Reid both of Hartland, and Brenda Reid and her wife Tracy Reid of Gardiner; her brother, James Marsh of Wilmington, MA; her sister, Jackie and her husband Jack Murray of South Carolina; a precious grandson, Adam J. Micheller of Hartland; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a stepbrother, Thomas Burris; and 2 sisters, Rose “Chickie” McGrath and Patricia Farrell.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, May 28th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until this time of services. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
