PLYMOUTH—Margaret (Butler) Greenleaf, 80, died April 6, 2003 at a Brewer nursing home. She was born March 24, 1923 at Lake Edward, New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of Miles and Martha (Montgomery) Butler. She attended Hartland Academy and business college in Bangor. During World War II, she worked as a welder at the Portland Shipyard. She later was employed as a bookkeeper at Hartley’s car dealership, and retired from Saliba’s Rugs in Bangor.

She is survived by a brother, James Butler of St. Albans; a sister, Mary Ellen Butler of Plymouth; many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Donald, 2 brothers, Marshall and Maynard and a sister, Leola Cushman.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 P.M Thursday, April 10th at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. with the Rev. Carl Engstrom officiating. Spring burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Newport.
