She served as a nurse in the US Army during WWII. She married Cecil R. Ward in 1945, and they had 3 sons, Donald, James and Thomas. In 1969 they all moved to Greenville, Maine.

She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil, March 17, 1982. For the past 17 years she has made her home at Tissues Country Estates, where she made many friends, that over time became her family. She will be missed by so many people that loved her.

She is survived by a special niece and her husband, Geneva and Norman Beckwith of Shirley, and their family; 3 sisters-in-law, Winnie McCormick of Fairfield, Julia Warman and Betty Ward, both of Greenville Jct.; many nieces and nephews.
