MARRY ANN (ANNANCE) HYLAND
Marry Ann Hyland
Together Again
GREENVILLE- Marry Ann (Annance) Hyland, 88, joined her beloved husband in the house of the lord on Sunday, October 4, 2009. Mary Ann, known by most as Nana, was born on June 10, 1921 to Margaret and Percy Annance in Greenville. She grew up and attended school in Greenville with siblings Ruthie (Annance) McLory, Frances (Annance) O'Connel, and Fred Annance along the shores of Moosehead Lake. While on a boat ride in August of this year she recalled a childhood story of log jumping on the lake as a child, a dangerous pastime her mother did not approve of. In March 1941 she married Herbert Hyland, Sr. in Greenville and had children Ruth, Dolly, Kay, Sonny, and Francine. Nana worked in the Greenville area for many employers until her retirement in her early 80's from Squaw Mountain Resort, a place she remembered fondly. Nana enjoyed listening to music, crocheting, and visits from family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Herb, daughter Dolly; son Sonny, and son-in-law, Charles McNeal; sister-in-law, Janet Hyland; as well as her siblings. She is survived by her children, Ruth McNeal of Greenville, Katherine and Charles Brown of Abbot, Francine and Scott Roy of Greenville, daughter-in-law Jeannette Hyland of Greenville, 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 10 great, great grandchildren. She will be remembered by a special friend, Gracie Bradford Golding of Greenville.

Graveside services will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Greenville Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. Richard Malo officiating. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Greenville. For an online guest register, go to www.CrosbyNeal.com.
