MAXINE C. TRIPP
She worked for several years at Hardwood Products Company in Guilford. Maxine and her husband, Buster, owned and operated Tripp's Sporting Goods Store and the Gold Nugget Restaurant in Guilford for many years, and later she worked for the Ben Franklin Store in Guilford.
She was a member of the O.E.S. , and was on the Advisory Board for the Rainbow Girls. She was a charter member of the Pythian Sisters in Abbot, and a member of the Guilford United Methodist Church. For the past few years Maxine enjoyed her time at Pleasant Meadows in Dover-Foxcroft, where she made many friends.
She is survived by 2 daughters and their husbands, Beverly and Rodney Edgerly of Guilford, and Lorinda and Clinton Cushman of Hodgdon; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Campbell of Guilford; 4 grandchildren and their spouses, Randy and Darlene Edgerly of Guilford, Ronda and Shane Crouse of Sangerville, Daphne and Bob Nason of Houlton, and Kenny and Tracy Cushman of Florida; 8 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth "Buster" Tripp in 1971; a great grandson, Ben; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, Monday, November 2nd, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, at the Guilford United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Guilford.
