MAYNARD A. LOUD
NEWPORT & DEXTER – Maynard A. Loud, 82, died December 7, 2002 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born December 10, 1919 and would have been 83 on Tuesday. He was the son of Ephrian Augustus and Minnie Bell (Buzzell) Loud and was born in East Newport. He attended Newport schools and was a Sergeant in the Army during World War II. He married the former Camille Hardison on October 21, 1944. She predeceased him on June 9, 1995. After the war, Maynard and Camille moved to Dexter, where he was a foreman at Fayscott-Landis Machine Shop, retiring in 1981 after 42 years of service. Maynard attended the High Street Church in Newport and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by a son Donald Loud of Waterville; 2 daughters, Debbie Nagle of Dexter, and Judy Loud of Newport; a step-son, James Silverman of Dexter; grandchildren, Robin Pyrzyk, Marcy King, Shelly Peakes, Erin Peasley and Corey Nagle; 4 great grandchildren, Nicholas Clukey, Regan King, Samuel and Shelby Pyrzyk ; and a niece Debbie Andres. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a step-son, William Silverman and a sister, Ruth Buzzell.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot, Riverside Cemetery, Newport.
