Merton W. Carr
He proudly served in the US Marine Corps. during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a logger and later as a caretaker in the Falmouth area for many years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude (Blethen) Carr; 5 brothers, all of whom also served in the military; a sister; and 2 sons, Randall and Rexford.
He is survived by 3 loving daughters, Teresa and her husband, Chuck Talbot, Cheri and her husband, Randy Wentworth all of Abbot, and Roxanne Holmbom of Greenville; 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Lucas and his wife, Kati, Melissa, Stephanie, Hannah, and Allyson; 7 great grandchildren, Hannah, Dylan, Gabe, Gracie, Beau, Makayla, and Jaydon; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a special friend, his dog, Murphy.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, May 18th, at the Abbot Village Cemetery, Main Road in Abbot, with Pastor Ray Beless officiating.
