OBITUARIES

MURIEL L. WADE
MurielWadeMuriel L. Wade, 77, died May 3, 2003 at a Bangor hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born December 4, 1925, in Pittsfield, a daughter of Alfred and Ina (Ames) Brooks. She was an active member of Grace Linn Memorial United Methodist Church in Hartland, where she was a bell ringer. She was a member of the Silver Bells Christmas Club and the Hartland Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by 4 children, Barbara and her husband, Kermit Badger of Hartland, Karole and her husband, Fredrick Grandinetti of Grafton, Mass., Roberta and her husband, Richard Webber of Hartland, and Robert Wade of St. Albans; 2 brothers and their wives, Robert and Lois Brooks of Pittsfield and Leland and Marilyn Brooks of Palmyra; 3 sisters and their husbands, Gloria and David White of Pittsfield, Carolyn and Donald Starbird of Pittsfield and Virginia and Donald Morrison of Palmyra; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a special friend of Muriel and her family, Arthur Leonard of Abbot; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Wade, a sister, Shirley Garnett, and a grandson, Michael Badger.

Friends may call from 6-8 PM Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Newport. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Wednesday at the Grace Linn Memorial United Methodist Church in Hartland with the Rev. Brenda Haskell officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland.
