MURRAY E. LITTLEFIELD
MILO and DOVER-FOXCROFT Murray E. Littlefield, 94, died Jan. 22, 2002, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft, after a short illness. He was born in West Seboeis, June 1, 1907, the son of Harry A. and Elizabeth (Murray) Littlefield. Murray graduated from Milo High School, Class of 1926. He was employed by the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad prior to his enlistment in the U.S. Army, during World War II. Murray served with the 701st Grand Railroad Division in Italy during the war, and was discharged with the rank of master sergeant. He was decorated with the British Empire Award. After the war, Murray returned to Milo, and was employed is several capacities with the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad, retiring as yard foreman.
Murray is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ona, who may be visited at the Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
There will be no funeral services. The committal will be at the Gracelawn Crematory, Auburn. Arrangements by Pine State Cremation Service, 1-800-769-6377.
