OBITUARIES

PATRICIA A. CLARK
DOVER - FOXCROFT - Patricia A. Clark, 77, of 14 Deer View Lane, peacefully went to heaven to be reunited with her beloved husband in the afternoon of Dec. 10, 2009. She was born Aug. 21, 1932, in Eastport, the daughter of Ernest M. and Henrietta (Blackwood) Cleland. Patricia grew up in Robbinston and was a proud 1950 graduate of Calais High School.

She married Herman N. Clark, also of Robbinston, March 24, 1951, and they briefly moved to Moodus, Conn., before settling in central Maine, initially in Dexter and eventually in Dover-Foxcroft in 1954, at the home where she would spend the rest of her life.

While her husband, a World War II veteran, went on to have a long career at Fayscott Corp., Dexter, Patricia thrived as a housewife who raised five children.

She was a private person, but also an avid reader of newspapers and magazines who enjoyed crossword puzzles, and with Herman supported all of their children's various endeavors. Patricia and Herman were married for 36 years until his passing June 20, 1987. Since then she continued to find great enjoyment in life through her close relationships with her children and her daily afternoon visits with best ' cat, Garfield.

Patricia is survived by a brother, Roy Cunningham and his wife, Mary Lou, of New Britain, Conn.; five children, Herman N. "Nick" Clark Jr., Carol A. Clark, Ernest R. Clark, Dennis R. Clark and Kenneth R. Clark, all of Dover-Foxcroft; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 2 p.m. until the time of service 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with family neighbor, Shawn Darrah, assistant pastor of Family Worship Center, Dover-Foxcroft, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the family lot at Rural Grove Cemetery.
