REBA A. WARK
PALMYRA & HENDERSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA – Reba A. Wark, 89, wife of the late Donald R. Wark, died March 2, 2003 at a Hendersonville, NC nursing care center. She was born January 17, 1914 at Palmyra the daughter of Percy and Emma (Muncy) Williams. Reba graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1932. She worked at area salons as a beautician for many years. Reba was a member and past matron of Evening Star Chapter # 189 OES of Hartland, and was a member of the People’s United Methodist Church in Newport. She was a member and treasurer of the S & S Club in Palmyra. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Audrey N. Cook, and a brother, Roger M. Williams, Sr.
She is survived by a daughter, Roberta N. Stepp of Hendersonville, NC; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a nephew, Roger M Williams, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Monday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. George Darling officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot, Riverside Cemetery, Newport.
