ROBERT D. BRIDGE
PARKMAN, Robert D. Bridge, 76, died November 22, 2001 at a Bangor hospital after a very short illness. He was born October 16, 1925 in Parkman, the son of Stanley A. and Faye (Perkins) Bridge. Educated in Parkman schools, he graduated from Guilford High School with the class of 1948 after serving in World War II. Mr. Bridge had been a farmer all his life in Parkman. He was a member of the Guilford Center Baptist Church. He was also a member of Parkman Grange #305, Valley Grange #144, Piscataquis Pomona Grange and Maine State Grange. Bob was a long time member of the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District, serving as a director for many years. He was a former member of the S.A.D. #4 School Board, a member of the Parkman Planning Board, a member of the Maine Farm Bureau and other agricultural groups.

He is survived by his wife of six years, Joyce (McAlister Miller) Bridge, one daughter and her husband, Brenda and Steve Hartford all of Parkman; two brothers, Galen Bridge of Tucson, Arizona and Nelson Bridge of Abbot; two grandchildren, Jason Robert Hartford of Parkman and Kylee Anne Hartford of Parsonsfield; two aunts, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife of 45 years, Amber (Curtis) Bridge; his sisters, Audrey Gourley and Mary Cross also a brother Herbert Bridge.

Friends may call 6-9 pm Sunday November 25th at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday November 26th at the funeral home with Pastor David Lassell officiating. Burial will be in the Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman.
