Robert F. Meunier, Sr.
DEXTER- Robert F. Meunier, Sr., 71, died December 14, 2013, at his home in Dexter, following a long illness. He was born in Greenfield, MA, May 28, 1942, the son of Wilfred and Frances (Allis) Meunier Sr.

Bob attended Whately, MA schools and graduated from Smith Vocational School in Northampton, MA.

He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964.

He was a maintenance worker for the Greenfield Tap and Die in MA, and later worked for Gas Turbine in E. Granby, CT. He and his wife retired to Dexter, Maine in 1994, and were active members of the New Hope Baptist Church in Dexter.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Kathleen (Hammel) Meunier of Dexter; 4 daughters, Nicole Meunier and her companion, Stephen Kenyon of CT, Denise Bannon and her husband, Timothy of OK, Renee Murnane and her husband, Michael of NY, and Suzanne Ploszaj and her husband, Joel of Searsport; a son, Robert F. Meunier, Jr. and his wife, Kelly of Dexter; 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Heidi, Jennifer, and Holly Ploszaj, Connor and Michael Bannon, and Matthew Meunier; 2 sisters, Gladys Hatt and her husband, Bob of MA, and Carolyn Meunier of Dexter; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Wilfred Sr., Lawrence, and Bruce.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lodato and staff, CHCS Hospice nurses, and Dr. Diane Brandt; and especially want to thank Jesus for making it possible for Robert to spend eternity with Him.

Private funeral services will be held at Crosby & Neal in Dexter. Spring graveside services with military honors will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
