STANLEY L. DOW
DOVER-FOXCROFT - Stanley L. Dow, 92, husband of the late Alice B. (Tyler) Dow, died Jan. 7, 2002, at a local nursing home. He was born Oct. 16, 1909, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Lewis H. and Lillian (Mitchell) Dow.A World War II, U.S. Army veteran, he had been employed at Cushing Dye Co. in Dover-Foxcroft. Mr. Dow was a 50 year member of the P of H No. 236 Grange, and a member of Chadbourne Merrill American Legion Post No. 29.

He is survived by a stepson, Lowell Tyler of W. Palm Beach, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Gloria Kinison of Bowerbank, Colleen Merrill of Kennebunk; a brother, Lewis H. Dow Jr. and his wife, Leona of Sebec; three sisters, Alice Shepardson of Dover-Foxcroft, Helen Thomas of Naugatuck, Conn., Luella Ostrotsky of Easton, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Lucy Dow of Sebec, several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, with Rev. Neil Gastonguay officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in East Dover Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, William Black Building, Columbia University, 650 West 168th St., New York, N.Y. 10032.
