VAUGHN R. FIELDS
PALMYRA Vaughn R. Fields, 70, died February 17, 2002 at his Lang Hill Road residence. He was born January 6, 1932 at Framingham, Mass. the son of Raymond and Mary (Kearney) Fields. Vaughn moved to Maine in the early 1950's. He was a supervisor with the Thomas DiCenzo Construction Company, based in Calais, for many years, retiring in 2000.

He is survived his long-time companion Gerry; 2 sons, David P. Jones and Charles R. Fields; 3 daughters, Vicki Clark, Marguerite Fields, Mary Elizabeth and husband Corey Hubler, all of Pennsylvania; a brother Kenneth Fields of Portland, CT; a sister Wilda Neilson of Plaster Rock, New Brunswick; 7 grandchildren; 3 nephews and 2 nieces. He will be fondly remembered by Matthew and Courtney Graves.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held at 1 P.M Thursday, February 21st, with the Rev. Michael Stephenson officiating. A reception will follow the funeral service at Barrows-Skidgel American Legion Hall, Newport. Spring burial will be in the Palmyra Village Cemetery.
