VERNARD L. MCKENNEY He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Margaret (Bates) McKenney of Dexter; 3 children, Richard McKenney of Corinth, Jane Hall of Dexter, and Tamara Headlee of Texas; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, an infant son David, 2 brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held June 17th at Crosby & Neal, Dexter, with Clermont Spencer officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Penquis Foster Grandparent Program, P. O. Box 1162, Bangor, ME 04402. DEXTER - Vernard L. McKenney, 83, died peacefully June 14, 2009 at his home with his family by his side. He was born September 12, 1925 in Dexter, a son of Culbert and Flossie (Thompson) McKenney. He worked for Fay-Scott Machine Shop in Dexter for many years and retired from Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Pittsfield.
