WAYNE G. HALEY
MILO - Wayne G. Haley, 68, husband of Sandra (Barker) Haley, died March 2, 2002, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1933, in LaGrange, the son of LeRoy A. and Ellen (Decker) Haley. A U.S. Army veteran, he had served in Korea. Wayne had worked for the Milo Community Hospital, and with his wife, Sandra, had owned and operated the Milo Flower Shop for 32 years, and Haley's Bottled Gas for 15 years. He retired from the maintenance department of MSAD 41 where he had been employed as a bus driver. He was a member and past master of Piscataquis Masonic Lodge No. 44 AF & AM, a past patron of Aldworth Chapter No. 39 OES, a member of the Joseph P. Chaisson American Legion Post No. 41, a member of the Milo Fire Department and the Milo Police Department.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra of Milo; two sons, Thomas A. and his wife, Reta of Milo, Rodney and his wife, Eileen of Guilford; a daughter, Melanie and her husband, Barry Knowles of Milo; two brothers, Donald and his wife, Eleanor Haley of Wollaston, Mass., Frederic Haley of Orono; a sister-in-law, Edna Haley of Stratford, Conn.; eight grandchildren, Andrea and her husband, Jason, Amanda, Jennifer, Jessica, Megan, Haley, Katie and Wayne; a great-granddaughter, Jordyn, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Fay and Lillian; and two brothers, William and Allen. He will be missed by a special friend, Sam.

Friends are invited to call 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo, with Masonic services said at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michelle St. Cyr officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery. Those who wish, may make memorial contributions to Mayo Regional Hospital, Diabetes Programs, 65 W.
